Seamless titanium tube and pipe
Seamless titanium tube to ASTM B338 and pipe to ASTM B861 for condensers, heat exchangers and corrosive process lines. Made to order to your grade, size and length, and delivered to site anywhere in South Africa.
Overview
Titanium is the material of choice where copper alloy or stainless steel tubes fail early: seawater and brackish cooling water, chlorides, oxidising acids and wet chlorine. It combines high specific strength with excellent corrosion resistance, low thermal conductivity and no magnetism.
Our tube and pipe is manufactured by CSM Group, which produces around 3,000 tons of seamless titanium tube and pipe a year. Every order goes through chemical analysis, air pressure, eddy current and ultrasonic testing, plus tensile, flaring and flattening tests to the applicable standard.
Typical applications
- Power station condenser retubing
- Shell-and-tube heat exchangers and coolers
- Acid, chlorine and chemical process lines
- Seawater cooling and desalination

Questions buyers ask
Who supplies titanium condenser tube in South Africa?
Stage Metals supplies seamless titanium tube and pipe made to order across South Africa, as the exclusive South African reseller for CSM Group. See our titanium tube supply guide.
What is the difference between ASTM B338 and B861?
B338 covers titanium tube for condensers and heat exchangers, sized by outside diameter and wall. B861 covers seamless titanium pipe for process pipework, sized by nominal pipe size and schedule.
Which titanium grade should I use?
Grade 2 is standard for condensers and exchangers; Grade 12, 7 or 16 for hot chloride service. See titanium Grade 2 vs Grade 7 vs Grade 12.
